Deeply rooted in the Early Reggae grooves of the 1960s and 70s and the rare treasures of Northern Soul, these folks hit the stages with tons of energy and liveliness that won’t let you standing stiffly in the corner.

Every Sunday from 8 to 10 pm (GMT) you can hear RS Digital's voice and selection at Supreme FM, studded with rare and unreleased tunes and solid information about Jamaican music of the 60s and 70s. This guy is a walking encyclopedia! But the main reason for our invitation was his selection of revival music, which is one of the best in London and the UK.

The Jan (Hamburg Soul Weekender/For Dancers Only, Hamburg)

The Jan is an early mod and co-promotor of the Hamburg Soulweekender from Hamburg. In the early 80s he started the mod fanzine „Modern Boys“ with Olaf Ott (Soul Allnighter). Today he books bands at Hamburg's Club Hafenklang. And once a month The Jan makes his audience spin to (mainly mid-tempo) Northern Soul and R'n'B treasures at „For Dancers Only“. He might give in to his hidden passion for modern soul at this weekend.

Thundering Vibration (Lübeck/Braunschweig)

Thundering Vibration - two brothers known as The Great Wuga Wuga and Big Bam Roon - possessors of a deep musical basket and our companions since the first weekender. Their selection and talent to keep the fire burning - musicwise - brought them a lot of respect and gigs in Germany, the UK, Switzerland, Austria and even abroad in the US. This and the fact that we shared the decks with them so many nice times, didn't let us think twice to invite them again.

Henning Boogaloo turns into a resident at the Kiel Weekender. For him a trip to Kiel isn't just business, as a Nothern German original it's a homecoming as well. Like in his regular Soul dances and radio shows in Switzerland, he will share his enthusiasm for Soul music and good parties at this year's Soul floor.

Arne aka Peanut Vendor isn't only a firmly established Soul and Reggae DJ in Eastern Germany, his qualities brought him guest appearance's at the rest of the country, too. It's his first time as a DJ in Kiel and he's a part of the Soul & R&B line up

This young lad was already a guest in Kiel as Reggae DJ and guitarist of the Saloon Soldiers 2009. He's the promotor of Dresden's own Upon My Soul Weekender and a Reggae nighter row called Whine & Grind. All these events are fresh and fancy, congenial to a fresh and fancy town like Dresden! He will assist us with some Soul chunes at this Warm Up Night!
